The Strada and Strada Center loudspeakers are certainly beauties to behold, particularly when they are packed wtih the latest proprietary impulse connection system called the OPT. Making full use of the CDT 3 tweeter, both Strada and Strada Center loudspeakers were developed after the company conducted a market research only to find out that “size and price are the two most vital criteria when buying a loudspeaker”, resulting in a small, visually appealing speaker which would sound great just about anywhere, in multiple applications, and still be affordable. Audiophiles who are looking for something different, these might be just the thing for your living room.

Boston Acoustics’ TVee model sound bar system ought to resonate with audiophiles since it has a two channel sound bar system that boast a hundred watts of total ability output, apart from a wireless subwoofer, remote control and a component output. There is one major downside to the TVee though – cost. It retails for four Benjamins on Amazon, but whether you don’t mind picking up a refurbished model, next it might shave off some dollars from the final sticker price. Meant for those with very little shelf space in their home only, otherwise it would do well to invest in something more sizeable.

With the world moving on to the MP3 format for quite a enlarged date already, it makes us wonder who would want to fork out $4,695 for the Vincent Audio C-60 CD player. Well, that is no ordinary CD player as you can tell by its price tag, since it comes with both vacuum and solid-state output stages. The latter can be changed through a remote control, providing the vacuum tune sound which some audiophiles are particularly fond of. The top-loading CD tray will not skip a individual bit during playback, while balanced XLR output, unbalanced RCA, coaxial optical out and digital outputs rounds off the list of specifications.

The Onn V8HD portable media player will continue where the V8 left off, where you get a 4.3″ display, support for a wide range of popular file formats, ebook compatibility (with the TXT format, of course) and the ability to browse through your collection of photos. Just in case its 8GB of internal memory is not ample, there is always a microSD memory card slot to further up the ante. Its 2,000 mAh battery is capable of keeping the V8HD going for up to 10 hours where video is concerned, while audiophiles can enjoy up to 35 hours of continuous music. No word on pricing at press instance though.

The SR-2 Loudspeaker will target audiophiles who have a heart for great music, where it boasts a high-performance three-way listening system which relies on the highest quality drivers available in order to achieve the sound effects needed. that is basically a more compact version of the 3-way SR-1, making it perfect for homes that do not have space for large floorstanding speakers. Each speaker system will comprise of a loner 7″ midrange driver, one 10.25″ lengthy excursion woofer, and a 1.1″ HEXADYM magnet tweeter. You can choose from a lustrous cherry finish among other optional finishes of Madrone burl and ash for $18,000 in cherry, and $21,000 in Madrone or ash respectively from next month onwards. Sweet!

The McIntosh MXA60 audio system is certainly one high end unit that targets audiophiles who won’t stop to think twice about dropping some serious coin for it – to the tune of $7,500, whether you want to be exact. The 60th anniversary edition of McIntosh’s first-ever standalone integrated audio system is commemorated with the MXA60 which is a vacuum tube preamplifer-powered, CD/SACD/MP3 player. In the current economic climate, we’re guessing many folks will just look at that wistfully instead.
