Nokia and Dolby have announced that they’re collaborating to bring Dolby’s surround sound technologies into choose phone worldwide. that announcement comes hot on the heels of the unveiling of Nokia’s N8 smartphone that already incorporates Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound technology. With that in place, users will be able to enjoy Dolby Digital Plus surround sound by hooking the N8 up a home theater system via an HDMI connection. Are you looking forward to more mobile phones that incorporate Dolby’s audio magic in it, or are you nonchalant about audio quality on mobile devices?

Sony has unveiled the NAS-V5 and NAS-V7M Walkman speaker docks which will sport Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of Web radio thanks to a variety of channels, while 32-bit DSPs ensure you will be able to enjoy crisp and clear audio quality. Apart from that, you can expect to enjoy standard AM/FM radio features, an AUX jack and a powered USB port. Since these are from Sony, they additionally tout a Walkman dock for that added bit of value. The $535 NAS-V7M sports 16GB of internal memory that makes it a snap to rip your audio CD collection onto it with the touch of a button, while the $428 NAS-V5 lacks that. No notion on whether that will reach anywhere outside of Japan anytime soon.

Toshiba introduced its new Camileo lineup back in September at IFA Berlin 2009, and the products are available in Europe since January. The super slim full HD camcorder (two third of an inch thick for 3.5 ounces) packs a 5MP CMOS sensor, a 4X digital zoom in 720p (1X in 1080p), a 3.0″ rotating LCD screen, and a SD/SDHC card slot (up to 32GB). The Camileo shoots in H.264, offering video stabilization in 720p and below, an Easy YouTube Upload Button, a LED flash light and a HDMi mini out.

I have not tested the video and audio quality yet, I would have liked a microphone jack like the one I have on my Kodak Zi8, it makes the sound quality way better when I record interviews during trade shows. The Toshiba product manager claimed that the built-in microphone quality is sufficient to perform interviews.

The Camileo S20 comes with a tripod featuring flexible legs (see photo) to shoot videos at crazy angles, that’s great. The CAMILEO S20 in now available for pre-order at toshibadirect.com for $179.99 MSRP and will be available for in stores on April 19, 2010. Check out the photo gallery, features after the jump.

Yamaha has rolled out its first pair of in-ear headphones for the masses, thanks to the EPH-50. that is touted to be a pseudo-audiophile model that comes with 13.6mm (0.53in) drivers, an overall tougher build as well as a 0.25″ adapter for home stereos. Apart from that, there is additionally the EPH-30 which is the mainstream entrant with 9mm (0.35in) drivers and a more conventional build, while the EPH-20 will target entry-level listeners as it features slightly larger drivers (10.7mm) albeit being rather low-cost in nature which is reflected by the audio quality, although you can choose from five colors.
Asus does not only construct computers, you know, with the company rolling out its new Cine5 PC speakers which are touted to be the smallest 5-channel PC soundbar in the world. Capable of offering great audio quality in a compact design, the Cine5 boasts a frequency response of around 80 to 20,000Hz, multiple 3.5mm jacks for multichannel input, headphone socket and 5-channel audio. No view on pricing or availability, but expect details on both to be released pretty soon. What do you think of its design?

SteelSeries has graced CeBIT with a couple of new devices, with the 6Gv2 keyboard and 7H headset going under the spotlight. The former comes with a luxurious 18-karat gold-plated mechanical switches which are touted to obtain faster reaction times as well as supporting advanced key combinations for a higher number of actions per minute. Available for pre-order on Amazon for $99.99, that is more pricey than normal. As for the luxurious SteelSeries 7H headset, that over-ear model comes with a couple of ear-cup choices, hear-through cloth, and noise dampening leather. It is even more expensive than the keyboard at $119.99, so get that only whether you’re serious about your audio quality.
S&J has debuted their once conceptual Eggy super compact portable speaker alongside the self-explanatory Bike Speaker which is mounted on your bicycle to let you enjoy your favorite tunes while cycling around, although your choice of music might not be to the liking of folks all around. The Eggy’s simple and compact design allows it to fit into the palm of your hand perfectly, boasting micro-mini 20mm unit technology that makes it possible to be shrunk down to such a size while offering 2W output and a digital amplifier for great audio quality. It is powered via USB, leaving you with more space in your luggage instead of toting around another potential supply. As for the Bike Speaker, it relies on the same super compact unit found in the Eggy to produce optimal sound quality. Features include an additional volume control, watch, stopwatch (in selected models) and an integrated FM radio. No concept on pricing as at press instance though.
