Android tablet takes a stab at unreleased iPad
February 8, 2010

The Apple iPad did garner quite a large amount of attention from everyone during its launch, but soon after again the initial excitement has died down. that Android-powered tablet does seem to be preparing itself to handle whatever the iPad offers to the market, boasting a 7" touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution while running on a 600MHz ARM9 processor. As with the Ramos W7 MID, it too, will run on Rockchip’s RK2808 chipset alongside a front-facing camera. There is still no word on pricing or availability, but it could very well reach in the China market before the month is by to coincide with the Lunar New Year holidays.

DigitalRise PC-729 tablet
November 18, 2009

The DigitalRise PC-729 tablet offers a refreshing look at the tablet market, since it comes with a 7" touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, all powered by an ARM9 processor. One major drawback would be its 128MB RAM which by today's standards, doesn't seem to cut the mustard any more, while its 7" touchscreen display has a relatively low resolution of just 480 x 272 pixels. Would those obvious setbacks cause you to fork out $355 for the DigitalRise PC-729?
