Apple Estimated To Have Sold 300k iPad 3Gs

If you were wondering how Apple’s iPad did in its launch last weekend, an estimate by a Piper Jaffray analyst puts the figure at 300,000 iPad 3G units sold that last weekend. that would include both 52 days of pre-orders and walk-in sales. Of the 50 Apple stores that were called on Sunday, it seems that all but one had completely run out of stock for the iPad 3G. whether the figures are accurate, thereupon Apple’s iPad (3G and Wi-Fi combined) would become the quickest-selling tablet and eBook reader to period. Amazon is estimated to have sold about 3 million Kindles to moment, but it took about 2-years to hit such a figure, while Apple may exceed that in just 6-months.

iPad 3G To Retail At 5PM April 30th

We know most of you can’t wait to get your hands on the iPad 3G which is just around the corner. In case you didn’t pre-order yours, you’ll want to know that Apple has confirmed that retail sales of the iPad 3G will start on April 30th, 5pm at Apple retail stores. that of course, only applies to folks in the US. The iPad will be available at the end of May in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK, so you’ll have to be a little patient.

iPad Personal Setup Service from Apple

With the iPad more than ready to manufacture a splash that coming Saturday, Apple is preparing itself to reply a slew of questions from its potential customers, where their retail stores will offer a free Personal Setup service to iPad customers. All customers who purchase an iPad at a retail store (which are said to be limited to just 15 at Best Buy, and even that will be spread evenly among the models on offer) will plus be bestowed with additional day with an employee in order to help the less technically inclined among them to set up mail accounts, install their favorite apps from the store and more. Not only that, all US Apple Stores will host special iPad workshops that Saturday dawn. that looks set to be a great PR move on Apple’s part as it would go a lengthy way in securing lengthy term customers with the right footing, but next again we believe most iPad users would already be avid Apple fans.

Microsoft Removes The Bing App From universal iPhone Stores

In a rather weird move, it seems that Microsoft has removed the Bing iPhone app from all of Apple’s App Stores aside from the US App Store. Apparently the Bing iPhone app was only meant for the US market, but the company accidentally made it available to the universal App Stores. It’s not entirely clear why Microsoft doesn’t want the Bing app on universal App Stores, or why it took a whole three months to discover that, but it has been confirmed that the Bing app has started to vanish from the App Store. Would you miss the Bing iPhone app whether it were taken away from you, or are you still hooked on Google’s offering?

V-MODA Remix remote headphones for iPhone, iPhone owners to drive iPad sales, Vogue mag launches app

A new set of headphones for iPhone 3GS users has been unveiled called the V-MODA Remix Remote. The headphones have a mic and inline remote for controlling track and volume and can be bought at Apple Retail stores for $99.

A survey has been conducted and claims that iPhone owners will be the main drivers of iPad sales. The survey was conducted by AdMob and showed that 16% of the 960 smartphone owners using the iPhone surveyed plan to buy the iPad.

This won’t mean much to most of the guys out there, but ladies using the iPhone who like fashion mags will be glad to produce out that Vogue is unveiling an iPhone app. The app will supply videos, discounts, and other offers when the user takes a picture of an ad in the print mag.
