If you have an interest for high-end computer graphics, you might have heard that Intel’s upcoming Larrabee (nicknamed LRB) graphics processing unit (GPU) has been shelved as a product, but it is not certainly not dead as a project.

The current Larrabee, I’ll shout it 1.0, will instead become a development vehicle that will serve to get the software going for whenever LRB 2.0 will show up. What happened? Intel didn’t supply much details, but it didn’t think that LRB 1.0 could be competitive in the market. I’ve heard rumors that Intel is already working on another design based on a low-power X86 core but that’s just speculation. I additionally suspect that the software is simply not ready to prepare LRB a decent GPU. In the meantime, Larrabee 1.0 will be used internally and externally to develop the graphics drivers and non-graphics software that will be used down the road. It’s a serious bump on the road, but that is not by yet.

that release updates Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_17.  that release is only for Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later versions of Mac OS X 10.6.  that release of Java SE 6 is available on Intel-based Macs only.

Leopard is the world’s most advanced operating system. So advanced, it even lets you run Windows whether there’s a PC application you need to use. Just get a copy of Windows and start up Boot Camp, now included with Leopard. Setup is simple and straightforward — just as you’d expect with a Mac.

What’s New in that Version
- that update addresses issues and improves compatibility with Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista running on a Mac computer using Boot Camp. It is highly recommended for all Boot Camp users. 
critical: Installation of Boot Camp 2.1 is mandatory before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

The Uber10 Awards were unveiled at a cool Ubergizmo event in San Francisco last week (sponsored by Dolby and Intel, check the party photos). We hope that these suggestions will give you save moment. On the financial side, there are a few ways to save: you can find the best deal and order online, or wait for Black Friday and hope that your favorite gadget goes on sale, which is unlikely whether it’s really cool, but who knows?
