You know that the future is here when even your everyday fridge boasts Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing it to surf the Web while you try to figure out just what drink to construct with an array of ready ingredients within. The Samsung Zipel has affluent South Koreans in its crosshairs, boasting a 10" touchscreen display, the aforementioned Wi-Fi connectivity and plays nice with DLNA devices. The display itself can double up as a note taker, supporting Google Calendar to construct certain you won't fall behind on your appointments while showing off current weather conditions before you head out. Apart from that, the Zipel is capable of displaying by 500 different kinds of food with their nutritional composition and news thanks to the Web. that nifty fridge will cost you a cool $2,170. We say get a regular fridge and tack on an Eee PC 701 on it for surfing aims.

Our friends at Cloned in China managed to get their hands on the ViewSonic VPC08 which was released sometime last year, and that MID/cellphone hybrid is just not something you would want whether everything else in your gadget collection is thin and slim. Underneath the hood, you will find an Intel Atom Z500 800MHz processor, alongside a MTK 6235 chipset that caters for the phone system. Apart from that, your eyes will be treated to a 4.3" display at 800 × 480 resolution for Windows XP aims, and a 2" 240 × 320 resolution display meant for the phone system. Internal storage is provided via an 8GB SSD, while you get Wi-Fi, a 2-megapixel camera and EV-DO 3G radio support. Would you fork out $700 for something like that? It seems to us as though it is occupying no man's land, and we hope to see future iterations that are sleeker whether it were to move more units in the market.

Samson Q2U Recording Pack

Samson just announced the Q2U Recording Pack which comprises of a microphone and HP20 headphones among others. The Q2U dynamic mic comes with both XLR and USB outputs, enabling one to connect to a computer and other gear simultaneously for live performances and recording aims. In addition, the mic boasts a cardioid pickup pattern and an integrated A/D converter for 16-bit, 48kHz sampling. You additionally get a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack for zero-latency monitoring during recording, with buttons located near the bottom of the mic for volume control. You can pick up the Q2U Recording Pack for $90 a pop, where it will be accompanied by a mic clip, desktop stand, USB and XLR cables and Cakewalk Music Creator.

Psystar Aims For 12m Computers In 2011

Psystar certainly looks like it’s confident in what it believes in. First it takes on Apple on its own turf, and starts selling Mac clones, which resulted in the unsurprising lawsuit from Apple; next it’s trying to secure $24 million in funding to continue development, expansion and “compete directly against Apple”. The reason for such huge figures is due to the sales projections, which probably are a tad out of whack. Based on the projections, Psystar will be selling 12 million computers in 2011, compared to the 768 desktops that it sold from April 2008 to August 2009. That being said, we do wish them all the best, after all, who wouldn’t welcome more competition in the market, right?

Check Out The First ELSE Phone

The First ELSE is a rather interesting mobile phone, as its goal is to be centered around the user experience, rather than the phone, with that in mind, the First ELSE aims to have the phone as an application on the device, rather than being the main operate of the device. More pictures of the First ELSE can be found here. While there hasn’t been any confirmation as to which operator will be picking that up, representatives from Orange were at the event. Target markets for the phone are the USA, Western Europe and Russia.
