We’ve seen digital cameras use normal AA batteries before, but a cell phone that can be powered by an AAA battery? Now that’s a little less common. Well, that’s precisely what the Olive Telecommunication company by in India is offering – India’s first dual-powered mobile phone that supports AAA batteries. Despite the phone, the FrvrOn V-G2300, being a low-end handset, the fact that it supports AAA batteries as a potential source would prepare that phone an ideal companion whether you’re going camping or somewhere where there isn’t any electricity available. There aren’t any cool features to brag about with phone that sports a 1.5–inch 128 x 128 pixel CSTN display, FM radio, speakerphone and some preloaded games. The Phone FrvrOn V-G2300 is currently going for 1699 INR (about $37) which certainly is interesting, particularly whether you plan to travel to India.

After all, with Valentine's Day just around the corner, surely the Locked ON Proximity Sensing Shirt should invent for an appropriate gift? Retailing for $19.99 each, that animated T-Shirt is capable of detecting another Locked ON shirt nearby, and when you get within meters of the other wearer, the glowing radar will cease scanning and locks onto its target. Powered by a trio of AAA batteries, washing that is going to take up a whole lot more hassle compared to an ordinary shirt.

[CES 2010] Talk about killing two birds with one stone - Liquid Image has unveiled their Wide Angle VideoMask 312 device at CES Unveiled earlier that evening, where it boasts a 135-degree wide angle lens and D1 video. that improvement allows the new 312 to offer more than twice its predecessor's field of view, allowing you to capture all the underwater action without lost a beat, freeing up your hands simultaneously to fondle fish and other underwater lifeforms. Capable of snapping 5.0-megapixel stills as well as record video in 720 x 480 resolution at 30fps, the 312 is capable of going up to 40 meters below sea level before the pressure gets to it. Pity it comes with just 16MB of internal memory which is virtually useless in that day and age, but good thing you can throw in a microSDHC memory card to equip it with up to 16GB memory. Powered by a couple of AAA batteries, you get easy-to-press lever-style buttons even while wearing diving gloves. Expect to pick up the Liquid Image Wide Angle VideoMask 312 for $200 when it is released later that May, just in day for your summer underwater adventures.
