SlingPlayer for Android rolling that summer
March 19, 2010
SlingPlayer intends to produce its presence known to different platforms, and it will be making its way to the Android operating system later that summer. From what you can see from that video, it looks more than decent, and will operate on both 3G and Wi-Fi networks, where Slingbox owners will soon be able to watch TV on the go. No notion on pricing though, but we would recommend you have an unlimited notes plan whether you're planning to take advantage of your 3G connection with that.

INQ Chat 3G and INQ Mini 3G arrives in India
March 16, 2010

Those who are living in India might be pleased to know that both the INQ Chat 3G and INQ Mini 3G will be arriving in that part of the world from that week onwards, courtesy of Aircel. These handsets are meant for social networking butterflies, where one will be able to enjoy Facebook, Twitter and Skype integration. No view on pricing for either handset though, but hopefully they won't be crazy expensive considering the purchasing ability of the average person living in India is much lower than that of a UK resident. HTC HD3 Leak Seems Rather Fake
March 16, 2010

A supposed leak of the HTC HD3 has surfaced, but whether you take a few minutes to go through the technical specifications of the device, you’ll probably come to the conclusion that that device isn’t real. Not that we’re denying the possibility of a HD3, but that device certainly isn’t it. While it certainly looks pretty, it sports a resolution of 1280x800, despite Microsoft only supporting 800x480 when Windows Phone 7 Series is launched at the end of the year; it plus sports just 1GB of on-board storage, which is insanely low, not to mention that Windows Phone 7 Series requests for a minimum of 8GB on-board storage. Finally, the 32GB of expandable memory is additionally a no go, as Microsoft doesn’t allow expandable memory on Windows 7 Series devices. Still, the specifications do look rather nice, aside from the 1GB on-board storage, in case you want to dream a bit. Specifications include:
- 4.5” AMOLED screen with 1280×800 resolution
- 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 1080p HD video playback
- 720p HD video recording
- 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash
- Multi-touch screen
- Super-thin – just 10mm thick
- WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity
- 4G connectivity
- 1GB onboard RAM
- 1GB onboard storage
- 32GB external memory
- 3.5” headphone jack
- HDMI output for connecting to your HDTV or monitor
- 1800mAh battery
- Size: 115mm x 65mm x 10mm

Witspad W8 Mobile World Wide Web Device
March 16, 2010

The Witspad W8 Mobile Web Device (MID) does look like a smartphone at first glance, something which hails from the HTC family of devices, but we guess we are wrong considering it lacks SMS support, which disqualifies it from being a full handset replacement. Hardware specifications include the Maemo OS, a 806MHz Marvell PXA 320 processor, a 4.3" touchscreen display, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS support, Wi-Fi connectivity and CDMA2000 3G connectivity. It is currently going for around $470 after conversion in China.

March 12, 2010

Users who are planning to purchase Apple’s iPad with a 3G modem probably already know that AT&T is offering two notes plan prices for the device, which are $14.99/month for 250MB or $29.99 for unlimited goods. While it’s not too hard to walk into an AT&T store to desire for the change in plan, it seems that Apple has gone one step further, and made things easy for everybody. You’ll be able to sign up, check your details usage, manage your detail, and even cancel your service directly from the iPad. Since there is no contract binding you to a specific documents plan, you’ll be able to switch amidst plans as and when you wish, which is certainly good news. Users who are on a 250MB/month plan will be sent 3 alerts (20%, 10% and 0% remaining), in order to let users know when additional documents might be needed for the month. As an added benefit, AT&T’s 3G service plans for the iPad allows users to access by 20,000 of Verizon’s Wi-Fi hotspots, which just makes the deal seem sweeter.
