Solarmer Energy Aims For 10 Percent Efficiency From Plastic Solar Cells

Solarmer Energy had previously managed to eke out a record efficiency of nearly eight percent from its plastic solar cells, but now according to the company’s Managing Director, the company is on target to reach 10 percent efficiency by the end of the year. Of course, they’re not only looking to ten percent efficiency, in the expanded run, they expect to achieve twelve to fifteen percent efficiencies, as it’s believed that the cells would need to be more than fifteen percent efficient in order to compete in the solar ability
market. Considering that solar ability is certainly going to be an critical part of our future, we certainly hope that they get great results in improving solar technology. After all, we’re looking forward to our cars being charged while they’re baking in the sun everyday.Permalink: Solarmer Energy Aims For 10 Percent Efficiency From Plastic Solar Cells from Ubergizmo | RSS Sponsor: Win a Fellowes Microshred Paper Shredder!
