Skype Now Sports HD Video Calls

It seems like televisions aren’t the only things going high-def in 2010, as Skype 4.2 beta will plus support HD video calls, as enlarged as users have a HD webcam and adequate bandwidth. The software was actually available back in early December 2009, but Skype was rather mum on the HD feature, probably preferring to keep the big announcement for CES 2010. Skype promises that the software is capable of 720p HD video at 30 frames-per-second. To manufacture

the deal sweeter, LG Electronics and Panasonic will both be introducing HDTVs at CES that will ship with Skype’s software embedded within, allowing you to build HD calls on the big screen.
