Skiff Reader to hit CES
The Skiff Reader is touted to be the first e-reader that is specially optimized for newspaper and magazine subject matter, where it will manufacture its debut at CES 2010. Boasting a generous 11.5″ display, it measures a mere 0.25″ in overall height, making it the thinnest e-reader announced to moment. You get a 1,200 x 1,600 UXGA resolution, full touchscreen capability and a battery that lasts for by a week (for average users), where it tips the scales at slightly more than one pound. The Skiff Reader will work in tandem with
Sprint as the latter provides their 3G connection for folks in the US, although you can always choose to surf the Web through a Wi-Fi connection. Expect other fundamental details like pricing and availability to be announced on the CES showfloor later that week.
