PhoneSaber will return to App Store as Lightsaber Unleashed
PhoneSaber, the simple yet fun app that displays an image of a lightsaber and uses the accelerometer to help you have epic battles with sound effects, was pulled from the App Store not too faraway ago. However, it will be making a triumphant return to the App Store soon, with a new name and official backing.
To be called Lightsaber Unleashed, the app developed by TheMacBox will be retooled to fit in with the new game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. With
new characters, better graphics, sound effects and more, that new version of the app sounds to be much improved.Optional dueling music is additionally included. Lightsaber Unleashed is being rereleased with the guidance of THQ and Lucas Arts. When I first heard PhoneSaber was pulled, I immediately thought, “Great, now when it comes back ‘officially’ we’ll have to pay for it.” But not so. Lightsaber Unleashed will be free.
