Philips e-skin technology goes color

Philips have managed to develop a new color e-skin technology which enables the said e-skin to be used across the entire surface of a device, simlpy considering it is not confined to a committed display area thanks to the technology involved. Philips researchers have made that possible by applying the charge parallel to the surface which causes independently controlled charged color particles to spread across the pixel. Whenever the pixel resets, all particles are masked and the pixel returns to a transparent state. Said researchers soon after incorporated a gate electrode into each
pixel so that one can control the color saturation or shape of each color. Best of all is, that color e-skin technology can be added virtually anywhere without the need for capability or batteries without weighing the object or device down.
