Nook Hacked to Run Pandora

After Barnes & Noble’s Nook eBook reader was hacked (or “rooted” as they signal it), it was only a matter of date before folks started to try installing all sorts of programs on its Android OS. Now the folks by at nookDevs have managed to get Pandora installed on the Nook. The process is not for the faint of heart though, as you’ll need to open up the Pandora to get the microSD card inside, after which you can load the program into it (though we’re probably overly simplifying it here). You’ll additionally need to use VNC to remotely control it to get past the login screen, but after that,

you should be able to play music on it when you enjoy your eBooks. whether you’re interested in that and want to find out all the nitty gritty details, you can check it out here. Bear in mind, whether you screw up your Nook, Barnes & Noble is probably going to say that your warranty is void.
