NEC ups the ante for USB 3.0

While USB 3.0 is capable of hitting a theoretical maximum of 4.8Gbps where info transfer rates are concerned, NEC is unhappy with that and recently claimed that they are capable of touching the 14.8Gbps mark. that was made possible thanks to their R&D team that re-engineered some very technical aspects of signal transmission in order to expand the amount of goods that can be successfully transmitted. It seems that both PCI
Express and USB standards could take advantage of that newly established ceiling. Hmm, does that mean USB 3.1 is the winner that instance round?Permalink: NEC ups the ante for USB 3.0 from Ubergizmo | RSS Sponsor: Win a Fellowes Microshred Paper Shredder!
