Nanometer makes for high performance batteries

With so many devices these days relying on a whole lot of battery ability, it is no surprise to see battery technology advancement high on the agenda of many companies. After all, you’d hate to run out of juice just before you finish that crucial phone signal, right? Here’s a new method that could potentially change the way we look at batteries – minuscule tubes coated with a chemical fuel which functions as a potential source with 100 times more electrical potential by weight than conventional batteries. Each moment these nano-scale “fuses” burn, they
will drive an electrical current along their length at staggering speeds, resulting in a raft of energy applications. While it will take a fair bit of moment before such technology hits the mainstream, whether ever, it is still encouraging to know that citizens are looking into it as an alternative source of energy.Permalink: Nanometer makes for high performance batteries from Ubergizmo | RSS Sponsor: Win a Fellowes Microshred Paper Shredder!
