Microsoft to announce Windows Mobile 7?

It seems as though Microsoft is ready to announce a release period for its Windows Mobile 7 operating platform. Rumor has it that the software itself will be available to Microsoft’s handheld hardware partners come that September, which would translate to Windows Mobile 7-based devices by the end of the year at best or early Q1 2011 at worst. Folks speaking other than English or common European languages will be disappointed, as those are the only languages catered to at that point in moment. Availability of the Asian localizations are tipped for a 2011 release, so take
note whether you happen to live in that part of the world. Expect Windows Mobile 7 to ship with an improved user interface, Zune, Xbox Live and Silverlight support. We hope that Windows Mobile 7 will see Microsoft invent the most of it in what could be its Waterloo where smartphone OSes are concerned.Permalink: Microsoft to announce Windows Mobile 7? from Ubergizmo | Hot: Nexus One Review
