Malicious iPhone Virus In Netherlands

We’ve seen Jailbroken iPhones that left SSH on with the default passwords get Rickrolled, and additionally “blackmailed”, though we’re fairly certain nobody really paid any money. Now it seems that a new virus, exploiting the same vulnerability, has surfaced in the Netherlands. It allows the hacker to remotely control and access the phone, making it a serious privacy concern, particularly whether you fiddle with online banking on your iPhone. You’d hate to wake up and see your bank detail cleared out, wouldn’t you? At the instance of writing, that variant of the virus is isolated in the Netherlands, but who knows where it will spread it. So whether you’ve Jailbroken your iPhone, do remember to change the default password.
