Identity SoIP S1
[CES 2010] that is a hidden gem from the floors of CES, with Identity of Korea unveiling their SoIP S1 device. Currently in a prototype mold factor, what you see here is meant to run on the Android operating system with it sitting squarely in your living room. Boasting a capability of supporting DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), it will be able to play nice with compatible consumer electronic devices from 240 members within DLNA which ought to construct it future-proof for a fair number of years. The display itself is touchscreen sensitive, and there is a handset placed in the cradle that can be picked up whenever you want to carry out a VoIP conversation, although you might most probably consider using the integrated webcam to carry out a video signal instead. It remains connected to the Net
via a Wi-Fi router, and the touchscreen display will show off a variety of widgets and can even double up as a digital photo frame. The prototype on display is lost a credit card reader which will be implemented in the final version, where you will next be able to form online transactions with your credit card using nothing but a simple swipe.
