HTC Comes Up With Widgets For Its Own Android Phones

HTC has released 4 Widgets that were developed in-house for its own Android-powered HTC Hero and Eris smartphones. These apps are only compatible with said phones, so it does produce you wonder whether the Android software scene might become fragmented, where some apps will only work on specific phone models. The apps released are the tip calculator, a dice throwing app, today-in-history and a battery utility. The battery utility will probably be quite useful, giving users detailed info on their battery charge level, type and even the temperature of

it. Word on the street is that HTC will be releasing more of its own in-house apps soon, but there isn’t any mention of whether they will be compatible with non-HTC devices.
