Google Acquires EtherPad

Google looks like it’s taking Google Wave very seriously, and now the latest announcement is that AppJet has been acquired by Google. In case you aren’t familiar with it, AppJet is responsible for EtherPad, an online service that would let groups of folks edit documents collectively on a “pad”. In the announcement, the team has confirmed that it will continue to work on real-time collaboration with Google’s Wave team. Unfortunately folks who
are currently using EtherPad will only have until March 31st 2010 to continue using the service, after which all pads will be deleted. Check out the full press release here.Permalink: Google Acquires EtherPad from Ubergizmo | Hot: Palm Pixi Review
