Word is that the WePad will be powered by Google’s android, and will even be able to access a WePad AppStore. While there isn’t any pricing knowledge just yet, specifications of the device are available, which include:

The Center for Accident Research and Road Safety (CARRS-Q) certainly looks like a very high-tech and realistic driving simulator. It was developed by the folks by at the Queensland University of Technology, and is supposed to display the difference amidst control on road and fatal tragedy. The simulator is able to simulate driving under different conditions, allowing it to be used by researchers to study dangerous driver behavior. It sports eight computers, projectors, and a six degree of freedom motion platform, providing the driver with a realistic driving environment in order to bring out the driver’s instinctive behavior, helping researchers plan out solutions against them in order to avoid accidents in the future. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

The motor is used to spin a PCB, and uses an optoelectric sensor to sync the display with the rate of rotation, giving you the cool effect of a digital analog clock. Video of that clock in action after the jump.

When purchased in a pack, the price of the iPad is lowered by $20 per iPad, or $40 per iPad whether purchased together with AppleCare. There are plus some environmental benefits of purchasing a pack of ten iPads, as the packaging is reduced by eliminating separate retail boxing for the devices. Each package will consist of ten iPads, along with the USB-to-Dock connector cables, capability adapters, and a one set of documentation. Will the iPad be a useful education tool, or do you think that the MacBook is still more suitable?

Having a tombstone that sports some fancy electronics certainly isn’t a new idea, but that hasn’t stopped the Phoenix-based company, Objecs, to take another crack at it. The company has come up with the Memorial RosettaStone Tablet, allowing visitors to the cemetery to access text and images by merely touching their cell phone to the headstone. The Memorial RosettaStone Tablet sports a microchip inside, and uses NFC (near-field communication) to stream personal data such as photos and even a pre-recorded report from the deceased. It only costs $225, and considering that by the day you need to use it, you won’t need the money anymore, it can’t be considered expensive, right? Do you think that you’re going to “prepare for the future” with one of these?

It’s not often you construct out something dubbed “super” and find out that it’s additionally an eco-oriented product, but that’s just what the Superbus is. The students at UT Delft in the Netherlands have come up with a prototype Superbus, which is an electric-powered machine, sporting a carbon fiber shell, low chassis, and 16 individual gull-wing doors. Thanks to its lithium-polymer battery pack that powers its motors (up to 800hp whether we may add), it’s a zero-emission vehicle, and can travel up to 130 miles before needing to be juiced up. Passengers will have to book their seats in advance, either by calling or texting a pickup duration and location to the driver, after which the driver will figure out the quickest and most efficient way to get everybody to their desired destination.
