Facebook To Launch Camera Friendly QR Codes?

Word is going around that Facebook could be examining the usage of QR codes on its site. In case you aren’t familiar, QR codes are like a 2D bar cipher for your mobile phone, allowing your phone to easily scan the QR cipher and get the knowledge. It seems that Facebook might use these QR codes for profile and status urls, which would probably come in handy whether you fiddle with Facebook a lot on your mobile phone (don’t we all?) Facebook hasn’t officially confirmed or denied that feature just yet, so it certainly seems
like there could be a possibility of seeing that feature sometime in the future. whether it were to be implemented, it’ll be interesting to see how it will be used. An example would be businesses could use it to point customers to Facebook pages by embedding the QR codes in TVs and print ads.Permalink: Facebook To Launch Camera Friendly QR Codes? from Ubergizmo | RSS Sponsor: Win a Fellowes Microshred Paper Shredder!
