ExoPC Delayed Till Summer, But Will Offer Updated Specifications

You might remember the ExoPC, which looked like a distant cousin to Apple’s iPad, but is a Windows 7 powered tablet computer. It seems that there is some good news and additionally some poor news related to that product. The poor news is that the device will be delayed by a few months, due to the company switching production partners from China to Canada, thanks to a new deal with CiaraTech. The good news is that when the device is released, it will offer better specs such as a better processor, graphics, battery life, thinner, better screen and touch panel. It’s plus said that the company will be

adding more features to the ExoPC UI Layer, possibly an application store as well. Do you think that you’re willing to wait for that 8.9-inch tablet device? Original specifications of the ExoPC included:

  • Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
  • Powered by Windows 7
  • 2GB of DDR2 memory
  • 32GB SSD with SD card expansion.
  • 4 hour battery life with the included user-replaceable battery.
