Ewoo Shows Off iPod Speaker Dock
[CES 2009] Show Stoppers is rather muted affair that year, focusing more on software as a service rather than hardware, and we feel that The Digital Experience had more composition hardware wise. Well, amidst the few hardware stops available at Show Stoppers was the ewoo booth, and they were featuring a trio of audio systems that works with the iPhone and iPod, but that one with a built-in subwoofer was the most interesting. You get the following for $499 :-
- 2.1 speaker setup
- Cabasse acoustic engineering
- 70W R.M.S.
- Remote with display attachment and album art
- 200 meter range
- iPod/iPhone dock
The audio was pretty tubthumpin’, but the price tag feels rather inflated and you don’t get a slim design to go along with it. We think we’ll give that a pass. Just in case you’re wondering where the subwoofer is, it is right below facing downwards.
