[CES 2010] How apt for enTourage to unveil their eDGe dualbook at, well, CES Unveiled. that is the first dualbook in the world, and assuming the model scheme factor takes off, it won't be the last but might just spawn off a slew of other similar devices. The eDGe takes a different approach by featuring two displays (as you can infer from above), merging the functions of an e-reader, tablet, netbook, notepad and portable media player in a restricted device. Is that a case of too many cooks that spoil the soup, or will the concept actually be executed well? The eDGe's start is pretty promising not just hardware-wise with its 9.7" e-paper display and 10.1" LCD display, but additionally to support that publishers have lent to their e-book store which offers
more than 200,000 trade books and by a million free public domain books that have already been digitized by Google. Add those to a slew of other popular magazines, newspapers and periodicals and you've got something good going on here. With the ability to double up as a voice recorder, we can just forsee students begging their parents for one. Available for pre-orders at the moment, the enTourage eDGe will be available from next month onwards for $490.Permalink: enTourage eDGe dualbook unveiled from Ubergizmo | Hot: Blackberry Bold 9700 Review
