ecoATM Encourages Recyclling

It’s good to see folks try and do their part of the environment with recycling and such. Next up we have an ecoATM which additionally wants to do its small part to help the environment of that earth. By offering folks redeemable in store credit, at least it offers to reward folks who take the additional step to help the environment. Just pop your old phone in there, identify it, and the machine will check for signs of wear. You’ll get a quotation on the spot, and whether the phone is not redeemable for anything, you can still have it

recycled, and they’ll plant a tree on your behalf. Not too shabby eh? The first unit was installed in a furniture store on Omaha, and despite it not being in a Best Buy or Wal-Mart, it did gobble up 20 phones on its first day, which isn’t too poor.
