Dell evaluating Chromium OS On Netbook
November 28, 2009 · Print This Article
It looks like Google's Chrome OS might be getting some nice backing from Dell, as the company has confirmed that it's maknig an experimental version of the Chromium OS for its Mini Inspiron 10v netbook. The OS is available as a USB key image file, but folks who try it are warmed that it should be used with assume risk, as it has only gone through minimal analyzing. Some of the current problems include lengthy (up to 10 minutes) before the network connection manager
can find wireless networks, but that's to be expected during that early checking phase. The 8GB image can be transferred to a USB drive only by using a Linux system.Permalink: Dell checking Chromium OS On Netbook from Ubergizmo | Hot: Palm Pixi Review
