Blu-ray 3D Video Specification Has Been Finalized

Fans of Blu-ray videos can rejoice as Blu-ray technology looks like it’s moving a step forward. The Blu-ray Disc organization has published the details of its final specification for 3D-enhanced Blu-ray video, dubbed Blu-ray 3D. With that in place, the format will have the ability to send a stereoscopic 1080p image to the user, and the great part is that despite the additional input needed, it only uses about 50 percent more than that the standard Blu-ray image, achieved thanks to an efficient variant of the H.264 video cipher knows as Multiview Video Coding (MVC), which

fortunately is backwards compatible. Playstation 3 owners will be able to enjoy that once its firmware has been updated to recognize the added depth. Are you looking forward to Blu-ray 3D, or are you currently satisfied with your current video setup?
