It does so by sensing when a cell phone is not plugged into a charger, and will cut off the potential supply from the wall socket when there is no phone detected. By doing so, it will help cut out the vampire draw, which basically is what
happens when AC adapters suck juice from your wall socket even when there isn’t any device to potential.
