AT&T Commits To BREW
January 7, 2010 · Print This Article

AT&T has announced that it will be offering phones running Qualcomm’s BREW platform, which is certainly good news for Qualcomm, and probably poor news for Java, which AT&T has generally relied on for is feature phones. BREW’s future probably didn’t look too bright before that, but with that announcement, things are starting to look rosy for it again. AT&T has confirmed that it will continue to support Java-based phones, but BREW is going to be its focus moving forward.
BREW has already been used by Verizon for years now, so that move will certainly serve to steady BREW’s position in the marketplace. Press release.Permalink: AT&T Commits To BREW from Ubergizmo | Hot: Blackberry Bold 9700 Review
