Apple offers devs status tracker, O2 iPhone sales steady, TomTom adds text-to-speech

Apple has been catching a lot of flack for its arduous process of approving applications for the iPhone. Apple has announced a new app status tracker for developers so they can see where in the process their app is.

In the UK O2 and Orange are now both offering the iPhone leading many to wonder whether sales would be harmed on either network. O2 is reporting that its sales have remained steady since Orange started

offering the iPhone. that suggests that eliminating exclusive deals may not hurt the original provider.

TomTom's iPhone navigation app has drawn criticism from some users for being expensive and lost features like text-to-speech that others offer. TomTom is set to release a new update that adds the text-to-speech functionality. The update plus adds the ability to control iPod music from within the app.
