3D technology has always intrigued folks, and Apple’s latest patent application regarding a head-tracking technology certainly seems interesting. By using a camera, the system is able to detect a user’s position and adjust the image on the screen accordingly. Aside from that, the camera would additionally have the ability to use the image of the user and overlay it onto the on-screen object, which would probably give you a similar feeling to those augmented reality applications such as Layar. Considering that Apple bundles webcams built into Macs, it certainly seems like a useful and interesting technology.
