Active Media has launched its Predator GT SATA-II line of SSDs that will feature a couple of capacities coming in 64GB and 128GB sizes. Both of them are able to hit 220MB/s sequential read speeds and achieve 0.1ms access times, coming in a brushed aluminum housing alongside a 3.5" drive bay mounting bracket. Other features of the Predator GT range include 128MB SDRAM cache and a new 8-channel controller. When compared to its fierce rival, Super Talent's latest MasterDrive SX SSD drives, the specifications are identical although Active Media's
offering is able to surpass the 200MB/s sequential read-rate speed found on Super Talent's offerings. You can pick up the 64GB Predator GT and 128GB Predator GT for $200 and $370, respectively.Permalink: Active Media Predator GT SATA-II SSD from Ubergizmo | Hot: Wii, PS3 and Natal Motion Sensing
