Jabra Unveils Touchscreen Base Dock

Jabra is a longtime name in the world of Bluetooth headsets, and that date round their two Jabra Go 6400 and Pro 9400 Bluetooth headsets will be able to combine with a charging dock for added convenience, where a touchcreen display has been thrown in for easier navigation. The Jabra Go 6400 is a typical Bluetooth headset, while the Pro 9400 resembles that of a receptionist's headset, working within a 450-foot radius in your home (unless you live in a mansion, of course). Both models will come with dual-microphones for noise cancelation and a touchscreen to be able to alternate within a cellphone, VoIP or landline connections in a jiffy. Expect to pick either one up later that year for $200 a pop.

Nokia To Follow Suit With 12-Megapixel Camera Phone

Nokia will follow the footsteps of Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG by launching at least one 12-megapixel camera phone later that year, with the earliest timeframe cited as the end of 2009. Knowing how the industry works, that handset could even be pushed until next year as Nokia perfects their handset. Apparently, it will utilize the famous Carl Zeiss lens that is found in more notable Nokia handsets to term, and will feature optical zoom which ought to hand Samsung and Sony Ericsson a beating - in theory, at least.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 Gets FCC Approval

The FCC has already approved the BlackBerry Curve 8520 for its debut on T-Mobile next month, so it would be interesting to see where consumers will vote with their wallets - will they look towards the recently announced Tour, or stick to the Curve 8520? There's a BlackBerry for everybody, but at the end of the day, it is you who must decide what's best for your communications needs, regardless of whether you're a ability user or not. Which way will you go?

Apple has loosed the iPhone OS 3.1 Beta on developers, and that one looks much better than the wee bit buggy OS 3.0. Cowon S9 Gets Firmware Update

The Cowon S9 is one venerable portable media player, and it has just gotten much better from its already lofty heights with the firmware update 2.31b. Strangely suitable, that firmware update misses out on support for M3U playlists, but that blemish aside, we do get the following.
- Playback support for damaged AVI videos
- Gapless playback for FLAC, APE, Lossless WMA, Ogg Vorbis and WAV
- M3U support
- Support for AVI containers
- Notepad with keyboard

Dell Mini 10 Gets GPS And Wi-Fi Positioning

Dell will be making available its new location service for the Dell Mini 10 netbook from next week onwards, and that service is better known as Dell Wireless 700, bringing together both hardware and software. The hardware side comprises of an internal Broadcom A-GPS card that features a built-in Skyhook Wi-Fi locationing system, making it possible to know your exact location regardless of whether you're indoors or outdoors. CoPilot will manufacture up the navigation software, boasting turn-by-turn directions, 2D and 3D map views and a location aware portal dubbed Loki to get you started on your POI adventure. There is no word on pricing for the Dell 700 Wireless location system yet, but it will be released in the US next week followed by other regions in due date. Read more about our hands-on here.

Samsung N310 And N510 Hitting The US

Samsung will be bringing a couple of its netbooks t othe US later that year, and they are the 10" N310 and the N510. The former is additionally known as the Samsung Go which will probably appeal more to the US market, where it ought to reach that July 15th onwards for around $479 in its colorful, ruggedized lid. There is no word on a release term for the Samsung N510 yet though, but we are speculating that it will come with an 11.6" display accompanied by an NVIDIA ION chipset when released later that fall.
