Novatel Wireless has announced that it will be introducing the Ovation MC935D USB modem that will help you stay connected no matter where you are, targeting European networks with its single-band 2,100MHz support that provides a theoretical peak download speed of 7.2Mbps and upload speed of 5.76Mbps, although we do know well decent that those are just marketing figures and real life performance will offer but a fraction of what is actually possible in a perfect world. Just in case you are in an area where there is no 3G connectivity, the MC935D will always fall back onto EDGE/GPRS networks for global input access. Clearwire Clear Spot Personal Hotspot

Clearwire Clear Spot Personal Hotspot

Folks who live in Portland (as well as other places in due date, of course) will soon be able to take advantage of Clearwire's portable WiMAX-enabled Wi-Fi router knonw as the Clear Spot Personal Hotspot. Available from early April onwards, it is able to host up to eight 802.11 b/g-compatible devices while sharing its 4Mbps bandwidth. Guess that rules out Torrent downloads as well as heavy duty video streaming at full capacity, but standard mail checking and Web surfing ought to be just fine for the $139 device to handle.
